In Q2 of 2024, the personal finance category on iOS saw varied performances among the top applications. Sensor Tower provides a closer look into the downloads, revenue, and active users for these budgeting and planning tools.

Splitwise observed a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting from 239K in early April and peaking at 546K by mid-June. Active users also showed an upward trend, from 1.43M to over 2.15M in the same period. Revenue fluctuated but saw a high of $159K in the first week of June.

Spendee Money & Budget Planner experienced a less consistent pattern in downloads, with numbers generally hovering around the 50K to 68K mark, except for a dip to 34K in mid-June. Active users peaked at 723K in mid-April before settling near 600K towards the end of the quarter. The app's revenue saw highs of $153K in early May and $121K in mid-June.

Monefy: Money Tracker had modest download figures, ranging between 20K and 66K, with active users declining slightly from 479K to 379K over the quarter. Revenue saw a significant jump to $208K at the start of April, followed by a dip, and then another increase to $153K in late June.

Hiatus: Bill and Money Manager reported no downloads during this quarter, and active user data was not available. However, the app did generate revenue, with a peak at $98K in late April and late May.

YNAB showed very low download activity, with numbers mostly in the single digits and dropping to zero mid-quarter. Active users remained fairly stable but low, hovering around the mid-20s range. Revenue demonstrated volatility, with a notable spike to $196K in early June.
